From Crisis to Revival will focus on learning from the global innovations and experiences of climate movements and their allies during the pandemic. We will also have the opportunity to dialogue between movement actors and donors regarding priorities and needs for 2021.
This global meeting is for movement organisations, NGOs, funders, as well as technical and policy experts from counties and regions including North America, Europe, India, South Africa, South East Asia and Latin America. It will include practitioners engaged in climate and social justice campaigns, communications, and policy, on issues such as mobility, circular economy, and energy transition.

No, we encourage you to participate according to your availability.
If you are able to attend the core sessions, please do. We anticipate these will be when the largest portion of this community can meet with one another. In addition, we believe every session offers something valuable and important, drawing from the rich knowledge, experience and diversity of this group. We encourage you to choose a selection of the sessions that interest you, feel relevant and best suit your time zone and region. Several of the sessions are offered twice as to accommodate different time zones. If you want more detailed information please contact us via events@umifund.org and we can share more, or arrange a call.
These are the sessions we hope most, or all, of our participants will join. They include the launch and 3 longer sessions through the course of the week.
Two of these longer sessions (on December 1st and 2nd, UTC) are actually the same session twice- to better serve a range of timezones. This session is on the theme of sharing experiences and learning from across the field. It will develop some insights that feed into the third of the longer core sessions.
The third core session is our keynote. It is intentionally planned and scheduled for the global community, including funders and grantmakers. Finding a time that works from San Francisco to Sydney, via Durban and Delhi, is a compromise. For some it will be unsociable, but we hope you will feel able to join. We believe part of the power of this session is its global scope. In it we will explore how to apply the learnings, experiences and new strengths from across this community to deliver greater success and impact in 2021. We will discuss how best to align movement and advocacy priorities with funding and global political strategies.
Some sessions will be recorded and made available for those who couldn’t attend. It will be highlighted in advance if a session is being recorded to ensure participants are aware.

We will share event details and materials for each session you register for in a calendar invite along with the zoom link for the session. This will include a tech support contact for the session.
